uPVC (unplasticised PVC) profiles are built as multiple chambers, and the air held in those chambers is what gives the frame its thermal and acoustic behaviour. The frame is not painted and is unaffected by humidity, so it suits rooms and locations where moisture is a factor. Which chamber layout you get depends on the REHAU system behind the product, and the performance figures belong to that system and its glazing rather than to the material on its own.
