How It Works
How a Picture / Fixed window operates
No opening sash
The glass is fixed directly into the frame. There is nothing to operate, nothing to adjust and no moving joint to wear.
More glass, slimmer frame
Without sash hardware to house, the frame takes up less of the opening and more of it is glazed.
Combines with operable units
Usually paired with operable windows so a room gets the large fixed view plus somewhere to ventilate.
