Sideways operation
The sash glides horizontally on its track. Nothing projects into the room or outside, so furniture, blinds and walkways stay clear.
Wide openings
Sliding suits openings wider than they are tall, where a single swinging sash would be unwieldy.
Perimeter sealing
Gaskets run around the sash and meeting stile so the window stays sealed once closed.
